This is his birth certificate - and on file. He was almost certainly the first born, as he was born three months after
parent's wedding.
He was 20 when married to Mary Ann Forsbrook, who died in 1880 age 30 yrs (Death reg 1/4 June 1880), he remarried to Kiziah (Marr reg 1/4 Dec 1880)
1881 CENSUS
Living in Kidderminster, aged 29yrs, occupation given as Puddler (Forgeman), even though he is down as a shopkeeper in 1880 as noted above. Birth place given as Brierly Hill STF. At this time his wife is KIZIAH C Sheldon.
I have a note from a fellow researcher (Helen Fosbrook) who found a marriage cert for David T Thomas in 1/4 /12/1880 Kidderminster 6c 3B at St catherine's house. This is presumably his marriage to Kiziah, but I have not yet checked.
Entered in the 1880 Kidderminster classified as a shopkeeper, no Sheldons in the 1873 Kidderminster classified.
